Worship
Transcendent end is hidden in our own depths, waiting for the chance to occupy a conscious moment. I try to uncover the moment, tracing the ambiguity of emotion where I carefully observe my slightest unconscious gestures as a starting point of the creation.
In this process, I enter a quiet game of ‘hide and seek,’ searching for the latent image that resides beneath perception. Through the concrete labor of carving, I bring it into being, allowing it to emerge within the concrete physicality of stone and into the realm of self-awareness.
